I have the ORS installed on a server, and it is able to successfully connect to exchange.marketcetera.com and run a sample order strategy.
When I run Photon on my local Windows machine, by all appearances it is able to connect to my ORS server and the Marketcetera feed (both lights are green).
But when I submit an order, I get "ERROR - The order 8002/pants was rejected because Broker is unavailable." (Yes, I tried to buy a product called "pants"). In the Broker dropdown, the only option is "Auto Select".
I'm not sure how to investigate this. Which entity configures the Broker?

From my client machine, I am able to connect (via telnet) to ActiveMQ on the ORS server.
Is ActiveMQ the "broker" that the error is referring to?

Resolved. The broker in this context is Marketcetera's broker, and my ORS wasn't connecting properly due to clock skew.

Hello, how did you synchronized the clocks?
I'm trying to sync my PC's clock (the one that has the Photon) with this URL's http://exchange.marketcetera.com/marketDisplay/#simulatorInfo clock
Is that the way you did it?
Thanks
I just installed Marketcetera

My memory is hazy because it was a year ago, but I think I simply installed NTP on the ORS machine (which is a Linux server).
The client machine was Windows, and I believe the built-in clock-sync service was sufficient. If it wasn't enabled, I enabled it.
