There are two months elapsed since last code submission in the marketcetera trunk, the 1.6.0 has been tagged a long time ago but never "officially" released.
I'm a bit worried about this ...
Do you have a product roadmap for this new year ?
Thanks,
Best wishes for this new year to all marketcetera team and community.
Fred.

Fred,
There was quite a bit of new development done after 1.6, it was just done for political reasons in a non-public repository. 1.6 is available (I agree there are no download links on the page for it, but it is obtainable). Let me know if you want to chat some more about what's going on.

Anders,
There's no download per se - you can just find the tag in the public source code repository, and build it yourself.

Ok, I understand. Does 1.6 have the same performance problems as 1.5?
Thanks,
Anders

The performance improvements are only part of the upcoming commercial 2.1.0 release

Hello Fred - We are certainly committed to the open source model even while we explore revenue ideas to grow our business. We are taking some time here at the beginning of the year to review our progress so far and assimilate feedback from both customers and community members before we publish out a product roadmap for the year. Thanks for your patience - Roy.

I don't have specific dates yet, and this is tentative, but we're considering adding an asset class or two. Do you want to PM me with your specific requirements and we can discuss them in more detail?

Hello Andre -
We will start to push elements of the new release into the open source community within the next 4 weeks. Ultimately we will transition everything into the open source project, but right now we have extensive commitments to our commercial customers that are absorbing all our development resources.

For the commercial use, how can i find out what are the features and what nots and what sort of pricing that you give please. Also do we get to have a local version of the source code if needed?
Thanks

We can arrange licensing terms that work for you and your organization for commercial use. Why don't we take this discussion out of the forums, though. Please contact me directly via PM or by sending email to info at marketcetera.com. We can arrange a quick call to discuss your project and licensing terms.
