In 1.5, that message is as much as you'll see on the command line. Check the ors log, you'll find that you are unable to connect to the simulated exchange. The most likely cause is a firewall on your side.
I have disabled the firewall so that should not be a problem.
Am able to get marketdata and connect to the marketcetera data feed. Also, the server and feed lights in Photon are both green.
I can also place orders but they are not getting filled. The status says PEND NEW so does that means that I ORS is not connected properly?
Is there anyway to set up a simulate exchange locally so that it is possible to get orders filled without relying on the marketcetera webserver?
Thanks

thanks... i can now enter trades and the status says NEW. However, trades do not get filled even if i enter them as MKT orders. Does this have to do with my setup or something else like there needs to be other people trading on the simulator?
The support for market orders in the exchange simulator is minimal. To test order fills, it's best to have two installations with different sender comp IDs and act as your own counter. You can also look at the books on the exchange at http://exchange.marketcetera.com and find existing orders out there (placed by other users) to trade against.

I just installed Marketcetera on my Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid). I have not been able to get past the server login using username admin and password admin.
I keep getting the response "Unable to connect to the server using URL 'tcp://127.0.0.1:61616' user name 'admin' hostname '127.0.0.1' and port number '9,000'. Ensure that you have provided correct URL .........
I have synchronised my system with the NTP. I have also installed mysql on my system, but still cannot login to the server.
